You will find Wrens in a family called Troglodytidae. All except one, the Winter Wren, are found in the Americas. Wrens are small streaked, brown birds with bills that curve slightly downwards. You can see areas of black and white on some of these birds. They have long tails which are often cocked up. They are busy and energetic birds; some have loud and elaborate songs. Most spend much of their time close to the ground foraging for invertebrates, insects and spiders. Wrens are found in a number of different habitats.
