Vultures and Condors

Vultures are often found soaring and circling high with the wind currents.  They are members of the Cathartidae family and are eagle-like birds with small naked heads and very large wing-spreads.  All of the birds are predatory but may not hunt.  Some scavenge on carcasses or can be found feeding on carrion at the site of the kill.  The sexes are alike in appearance.
