These medium-sized song birds are found in the Turdidae family.  They are found in a variety of habitats around the world.  Some are brown, but many are streaked or spotted, and some have bright colors such as blue or orange. They have narrow bills and long tails.  They spend most of their time running, walking and feeding on the ground.  They eat insects and fruit; some will eat worms and small reptiles.  They are monogamous and are territorial.
