Pelicans are huge water birds and sport large bills with expandable pouches and webbed feet.  They belong to the Pelecanidae family.  Both of the sexes look alike.  They are bulky, stout birds with long necks and short legs.  They can be seen flying in long lines with their heads pulled in. [SinglePic not found]While the White Pelican catches fish on the surface of the water, the Brown Pelican plunge dives from the air. Both eat mostly fish and crustaceans.
