Brown-Head Cowbirds are found in southern Canada and most of the United States. They have spread from the Mid-West prairie states, where they followed bison, to both coasts.
You will see them in agricultural areas, fields, at the edges of woodlands, and around suburban areas.
These birds can feed themselves on bird feeders or bird feeder poles.
